\nIn Barcelona, the Ordinance of Measures to Promote and Ensure Civic Coexistence is implemented, establishing conduct rules to preserve the aesthetics and harmony of public spaces.

Article 20 \u2013 Conduct Rules:
\nIt is strictly prohibited to carry out graffiti, paintings, stains, spitting, writings, inscriptions, or graphics on any element of public space. This includes facilities, infrastructures, elements of public services, as well as public transportation, urban furniture, trees, gardens, public roads, and other elements specified in Article 3 of this ordinance. Excluded from this prohibition are artistic murals authorized by the owner or municipal authority.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Main Axes<\/h2>\n

In response to these restrictions, the Eixarrancats project emerges. This project challenges the regulation by proposing to permanently paint graffiti in Parc de la Casa Groga (Horta) as a way to denounce the alleged abusive regulation of public space. Additionally, citizen participation is encouraged by inviting the creation of hopscotch with chalk and engaging in creative games.

Visual support<\/h2>\n

As support for this initiative, trifold brochures with detailed instructions, including the content of Article 20 of the Civic Ordinance, were distributed. These instructions were also visually represented on an impactful mural measuring 8×2 meters, serving as a visual reminder of creative resistance and the pursuit of expression in public spaces.<\/p>\n

In Barcelona, the interaction between regulations and citizen creativity remains a fascinating dialogue, where street art challenges and coexists with established rules.
