Galeria Oberta

Galeria Oberta was a project promoted by Difusor that aimed to transform the wall enclosing Parc de les Aigües, on Abd-el-Kader street, into an artistic space open to all creators who wished to participate.

Main Axes

It consisted of 34 frames of 2x4m, which were already used during the Difusor2007festival. These frames, initially designed for advertising and incorporated into the wall itself, gave the impression of being in a constantly changing exhibition, interacting with the surroundings.

Galeria Oberta was guided by directives available on the project’s website, primarily reflecting a desire for understanding between the project and the territory in which it operated.

Framework and numbers…

The project fit into a path of regulating street art explored in other European cities. It was inaugurated on July 5, 2008, with a collective exhibition featuring artists from both Barcelona and beyond, as well as young individuals involved in educational, social, and cultural associations.

Difusor, as the promoting entity, took charge of monitoring, promoting, and energizing the experience.

Over the three years of the project, more than 200 interventions were documented.
